United Way of Northwest Georgia Celebrates Achieving $4.155 Million Goal!
What happens when a community comes together with a shared vision and unstoppable energy? Something extraordinary! United Way of Northwest Georgia is thrilled to announce the incredible achievement of meeting our ambitious $4.155 million campaign goal for 2024.
Mother-daughter duo and Campaign Co-Chairs Bradley Austin and Karen Townsend stepped up this year with a shared determination to unleash the incredible power of our united community. Their dedication, paired with the unyielding generosity of local businesses, volunteers, and donors, turned a bold dream into reality.
“United Way is not just about addressing needs; it is about impactful transformation,” shared Townsend. “Reaching this goal proves that when we come together, we can change lives in ways no organization could achieve alone.” With a focus on healthy communities, youth opportunities, financial security, and community resilience, this campaign touched every corner of Whitfield and Murray counties. From improving health outcomes to empowering future leaders, the impact is as diverse as it is profound.
The 2024 campaign’s success is a testament to the power of our community’s collective strength. From corporate partners to philanthropic champions like the Tocqueville Society, from Women’s Leadership Council members and Young Leaders Society members, nearly 6,000 donors stood together to make a difference. Weekly payroll deductions, one-time gifts, and everything in between proved that generosity knows no bounds.
“When you give to United Way, you are part of something bigger,” emphasized Austin. “You are one of many joining forces to ensure that 2025 holds hope, opportunity, and brighter days for so many in our community.”
United Way President, Amanda Burt, expressed deep gratitude: “Our community’s giving spirit is truly unmatched. From steadfast major donors to everyday heroes who found ways to give back, this success belongs to all of you. Thank you for ensuring United Way’s mission continues to thrive, improving the lives of over 64,000 individuals annually.” This celebration highlights not just a goal achieved but a movement fortified. It is a rallying cry for continued action, compassion, and commitment. United, we are unstoppable.
This incredible accomplishment would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of the 2024 United Way Cabinet Members, the support of local CEOs, campaign teams, and countless volunteers. You are the reason we can say, “We did it!”
